We’re also happy to make recommendations for some of the best dining available on the west coast.
October through June, we really enjoy ‘Burger Night’ at The Depot Restaurant in Seaview. Built in the original train depot, the restaurant dedicates Wednesdays to a variety of burgers and sweet potato fries. Year round, their full menu is creative and delicious. Great food in a fun setting. Check them out!
The 42nd Street Café & Bistro has been a consistent favorite over the years for Andersen’s guests. The eclectic menu satisfies seekers of traditional roadhouse meals like pot roast, chicken fried steak and fried razor clams. They usually do a nightly special featuring a fish dish. In the morning, try their bacon maple waffles. Mmmm. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Full Circle Café is the place all travelers look for; it has the flavors of the locale and really great food. It’s not very big. You might have to wait but the wait is worth it. While you’re waiting, you can browse their yarn and needlecrafts store adjoining the restaurant.
Jimella and Nanci’s Market Cafe, north of Andersen’s at 217th, is the latest venture of the gals who owned The Ark… the restaurant that put the Long Beach Peninsula on the map 30 years ago. When they first opened after their retirement from The Ark, they sold fresh seafood, some ready-to-cook entreés, and wonderful specialty items. The demand from their fans for “more” led to their current offerings of delicious fresh and seasonal dishes for lunch or dinner.
The Lost Roo has become a favorite of our guests. Lots of menu choices, big screen TVs, and ample room to accommodate large groups. Prime Rib Thursdays are very popular.
The Shelburne Restaurant and Pub is located in beautiful Shelburne Inn in Seaview. The Inn is over 100 years old and on the National Historic Register. Dine in the very lovely dining room or sample their Pub fare. We enjoy the delicious seafood chowder, a slice of their homemade bread and a glass of beer or wine in the Pub’s cozy atmosphere.
